Although most of the Spring Squills I saw were not blue but more a bluish white, there were a few blue ones ‘about’ to appear. These beautiful wildflowers graced the clifftops above where the Choughs were ‘playing’ to the West of Lizard Point.

A week after my last visit to the green roof at Evershed’s, this time not filming for the rooftop rainforest TV programme, but running a tour and a short workshop on green roofs. The afternoon was warm and sunny in contrast to the damp wet and cold of a week ago.
The green roof field station at Westferry Circus, Canary Wharf, London was installed in 2004 as part of 3 year PhD study into green roofs and invertebrates.
