Sweet Pea Bee
by Dusty ~ September 3rd, 2010. Filed under: Bees, Nature Notes.Greenwich station, London – a small piece of habitat to the north of the station. When it was installed the contractors kind of did a ‘bad’ job. And now it is covered in wildflowers. I have counted at least 50, Including a few Sweet Peas. Occasionally someone tidies the place up, but generally it is left to its own devices. It is a little pocket habitat in an area devoid of green. And a small hotspot for bees.

These tiny plots of untidiness, like green roofs, all add up to a network of habitats for a variety of habitats. All to often overlook and misunderstood by conventional ecologists and ‘rural’ nature conservationists.
