Islington Muncipal Office Green roof

Visited Islington MO living roof, green roof, or brown roof today to measure up for the next stage of the greening. The existing small 40m2 plot is to have a big brother later in the year courtesy of the Buglife - Sita natured enhanced project. The current plot has really come on with Lucerne Birds foot trefoil and Vipers bugloss still full flower. Bladder campion have turned to seed but are obviously doing well. Maybe twenty dead stems across the roof. A few sedums have colonised and Leanne tells me she has recorded over 20 species in all. How we get the next 100m2 up there is a question but at least the current roof is root capped with a Bauder system.
